Palm Employers
Naoero Airlines is proud to play a vital role in connecting contingent workers from Pacific Island countries to Australia under the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme.
This initiative allows eligible Australian businesses to hire workers from nine Pacific Island countries and Timor-Leste when local workers are unavailable.
Jointly administered by the Australian Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the PALM scheme supports two types of employment:
Seasonal Workers: Short-term roles (up to 9 months)
Longer-term Workers: Unskilled, low-skilled, or semi-skilled roles (between 1 and 4 years)
